Nanny Care
Nanny kid and I making bouquets for Mom!
Thank you for considering childcare through Three Moons Nurture and Care! I’d love to share a bit about my experience with you.
I have five years of childcare experience, including over a year as a professional nanny focusing primarily on children under three. I’m CPR and first-aid certified for all ages, and I have experience caring for newborns and providing overnight support.
Previously, I worked as an assistant daycare teacher for ages 3-5 at a nature-based Montessori preschool on Vashon Island. My passion for working with children and animals has been a constant throughout my journey. I’ve had the pleasure of caring for kiddos from newborns to 12 years old, and I truly enjoy the unique energy and excitement each age brings.
With a clean driving and background record, plus a trusty, family-friendly car, I’m confident in transporting little ones and love taking them on fun adventures!
In addition to my childcare experience, I also have a background in housekeeping and culinary settings, allowing me to offer extra assistance around the house as needed. I’ve worked in agricultural environments and, as a true animal lover, I’m comfortable caring for any pet including large dogs and farm animals.
Homemade pizza! I love to make yummy nutritious meals with my kiddos!
About me and my nannying philosophy
In my free time, I love engaging in outdoor activities like swimming, rock climbing, snowboarding, surfing, and hiking. Indoors, cooking and baking, especially with my nanny kids, is one of my favorite pastimes. I’m a very creative person and I am passionate about teaching various forms of art, including painting, ceramics, music, and crafts.
I also know basic Spanish and American Sign Language, and I’m enthusiastic about initiating or continuing education in a second language. As a proud PNW kid, I’m a mud kitchen enthusiast and love to get kids outside in any season—safely, of course!
I encourage screen- free and Montessori learning and prioritize communication and empowerment for the children in my care. My goal is for all of my nanny kids to understand safety and personal boundaries, feel empowered to make their own decisions, and develop a genuine excitement for learning and exploring nature.

2 Children - $20/hr

Many families are unfamiliar with nanny shares, so let me clarify how I facilitate them! A nanny share involves shared hours of care among 2-3 families. I limit the number of children to three to ensure I can provide exceptional individual care and safely transport everyone for adventures or in case of emergencies.
In a nanny share, each family pays two-thirds of my normal hourly rate. For example, if one family has two children and another has one, the family with two kids will pay two-thirds of my rate for two children ($20/hr), while the family with one child will pay two-thirds of my single-child rate ($17.50/hr) during shared hours.
The location of care will be determined collaboratively by all families to best meet the children’s needs and parents’ preferences. Families are not obligated to find other families for a nanny share; however, if you have someone in mind, I would be delighted to accommodate that! If not, I will work diligently to find the best match among families and children to ensure a positive and happy sharing experience.
What’s appealing about a nanny share? It allows me to optimize my time by working for multiple families simultaneously while offering each family a discounted rate during shared hours. Additionally, the children enjoy built-in playdates with peers, fostering the socialization that can often be missed in private nanny care.

I am currently seeking families in need of long-term, part-time, or full-time care. My current contract ends on November 16th, and I’m looking to create a nanny share with multiple wonderful families starting around that time. For each family I work with, I collaborate to customize my employment contract to fit our unique situation. This contract ensures that I have the same rights as any other employee in Washington State. Here are a couple of important points outlined in the contract:
Taxes and Payroll: I kindly ask that families pay me through a payroll service and cover all employer taxes.
Guaranteed Hours: I establish a minimum number of guaranteed hours each week. This helps ensure financial stability for me as your nanny while providing consistent care for your family.
Additional Household Tasks: While my primary focus is childcare, my hourly rate includes tasks like cleaning up after the kids and myself, doing children's dishes, and washing and folding their laundry. If you’re looking for more extensive housekeeping or household management, we can discuss an increase in hourly pay to account for those additional responsibilities.
If you're unfamiliar with these standards, I recommend researching nanny industry practices to help you prepare for our collaboration. I'm here to answer any questions you may have about nanny norms and ensure you feel confident in our working relationship!
